Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at pegasuswaterinc@gmail.com or 352-748-7873 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The system automatically regenerates every 14 days or between 750-1,200 gallons of water usage, whichever occurs first. This ensures consistent performance and water quality.

We recommend adding no more than two bags at a time. Always wait to refill until the tank is almost empty for proper operation.

Our systems are designated to function as both filtration systems and water softeners. They are an all-in-one setup ensures that all water entering your home is treated.

No. Your irrigation system has a separate shut-off valve, typically located outside the home in the ground.

A regeneration cycle typically takes about three hours, running in an on-and-off pattern throughout the process.

Cloudiness is often caused by using too much detergent. We recommend using very little liquid detergent and avoiding dishwasher pods, as they contain too much soap for our system.

The two red valve on the top of the system should normally be positioned parallel to the pipes. To shut the system off, turn the red valves inward so they point toward each other, then unplug the system.

Turn both red valves back to the parallel position, plug the system in, and then reset the clock to the correct time.

1. Press the Set Clock button; the hour digits will blink.

2. Use the up and down arrows to select the correct hour.

3. Press Set Clock again to move to the minutes setting.

4. Adjust the minutes using the arrows.

It is important to set the correct AM or PM, as the system is programmed to regenerate at 2:00 AM. You may need to scroll through the hours again to reach the correct AM/PM setting.

1. Make sure the brine tank has either potassium or salt in it.

2. If you are comfortable being without your water for about 3 hours, press and hold the Regen button to start an immediate regeneration cycle.

3.  If you cannot be without water for three hours, first ensure the system clock is set correctly, then press the Regen button once. The screen will blink "Regen," indicating the system will automatically regenerate at 2:00 AM.

Yes, your system is compatible with salt. However, there are two important considerations:

1. Discharge Location: The regeneration water exits the home and typically flows onto soil, rock, or pavement. Over time, salt water can harm vegetation or landscaping in the discharge area.

2. Health Considerations: If anyone in the home must limit salt intake, we recommend staying with potassium.

If you decide to switch to salt, please let us know so we can update your account.

No, you cannot put pool chlorine into your systems chlorinator. We offer a 10lb bucket of chlorine specifically designed for your chlorinator at our office for $125, or you can find it on Amazon which is similar to what we use.
